By now we’ve all seen the Harlem Shake videos on YouTube. A video meme that has exploded on the internet over the past week. There are countless videos from every different source imaginable. Clocking in around 30 seconds doesn’t hurt the ability for consumption as it takes very little time to get lost in a train of clicks. Before you know it you’ve seen 20 renditions of the same video. We have to give credit to Baauer for creating a track that you don’t get sick of easily even when listening to a snippet over and over.

We all know how fast viral trends come and go on the web these days. What do you think of Pepsi’s version? Does this further validate the trend or does it take away some of the fun by turning into an advertising gimmick. We give credit to Pepsi for having fun and it’s not even a bad attempt. I just wish they would have gotten involved sooner, I can’t imagine that video took very long to make!
